The precautionary lockdown at Mount View High School has now been lifted. All students and staff are safe, and the school has resumed its normal instructional day.

November 14-Bus 151 will not be running this evening. Bus 150 will be transporting students home. Raysal families please meet at the mouth of Raysal at the car wash at 3:05 and Atwell families please meet at Atwell church at 3:10 to pick up your children. If you do not have transportation to pick up your child, please contact the school.

Students who live in Raysal, families will need to meet at the Mouth of Raysal Hollow at Car Wash at 3:10PM.
Students who live in Atwell, families will need to meet at the Atwell Church at tracks at 3:15PM.
If you do not have transportation to pick up your child, please call the school as soon as possible.

Free Petting Zoo, Food, Books, Crafts, Games, Learning Stations, Community Partners and More! Bring your WAGONS, STROLLERS, BIG WHEELS, TRIKES, BIKES, SCOOTERS, or WHATEVER HAS WHEELS!
River View High School, Sandy River Middle School and Bradshaw Elementary Schools are currently on LOCKDOWN to allow local enforcement officers to conduct an investigation at the high school campus.
Buses will be late bringing the students home this evening. We will notify families when children the leave campus.
Safety is a top priority for McDowell County Schools and will take all measures to ensure students and staff safety are a priority.
WILD ABOUT LEARNING SUMMER CAMP will start for students on Wednesday, June 22, 2022 instead of Tuesday.
We are sorry for any inconvenience that this may cause! We needed to make sure staff have two days for planning.
We cannot wait to start learning and having tons of fun with students next week!!! We have field trips planned, meal 🍲 plans ready, fishing poles 🎣 ready, tutoring tools ⚒️ ready, music 🎶 already playing, sports 🏈 equipment ready, paint 🎨 and craft supplies ready, 🤖 robotics and STEM ready and much more!
