Nov 10, 2025 Buses NOT running Mary Kennedy RV area Bus 200 Randall McCoy MV area Bus 182 Bus 2601 Joe Kennedy RV area not running students will have to meet at same stops and as Friday. Bus 172 will pick up students at mouth of Estep Ridge at 10:00AM. Bus 2101 will get stops below S&M at 10:25AM. Bus 151 Patricia Blevins RV area will not be running but if parents get students to following points Bus 150 Kathy Justus will pick up at 10:25 am at month of Atwell Mt and mouth of Raysal and will return them to that spot at 3:10.

Nov 7, 2025 Bus 151 P Blevins will ride Bus 150 K Justus this evening. Students who live in Raysal, families will need to meet at the Mouth of Raysal Hollow at Car Wash at 3:10PM. Students who live in Atwell, families will need to meet at the Atwell Church at tracks at 3:15PM. If you do not have transportation to pick up your child, please call the school as soon as possible.

Nov 7 2025 Bus 2601 J Kennedy will NOT run. However, Bus 172 (B Hess) will pick up students at the mouth of Estep Ridge at 7AM. Students will be dropped back off at 3:20PM Bus 200 (M Kennedy) will pick up students below S&M at 7:25AM. Students will be dropped back off at 3:10PM

This month's FAC Meeting for families will be held tomorrow at Board Office 10:30AM. Lunch will follow meeting. We hope to see you there!

MCS Home Visiting Project Required kick off meeting tomorrow on Monday Oct 27 at 6:00PM on TEAMs. Link is on the county website under NEWS. ** We have made so changes so everyone will need to complete this meeting to participate. Due to decreased funding we will need fo prioritize participation to the following groups pending enrollment : Elem- PK-5 Teachers and ECCATs Secondary - Teachers

RV and SRMS Families We want to be transparent as always and share that there has been a residual smell coming from the boiler room on campus today. Our maintenance team is on site and has completed thorough walkthroughs of the building. The minimal smell is contained to a small area, and as a precaution, administrators have temporarily moved students and staff from those spaces until the air circulation fully clears the area. Please know that students and staff are safe, learning continues as normal, and the school remains on its regular schedule. We’ll continue to monitor the situation closely and appreciate your understanding.

10/22 2401 James Deshazo No Keystone or Burke Mt stops this morning. We will pick up Maitland bottom from another driver. 2401 WILL run this afternoon if families can transport scholars to school.

MCS Admin have been working this evening with the MC Health Dept to ensure we follow guidelines for cooking, handwashing, and bottled water drinking at IES while under boil water advisory. Please know a plan is in place that has been approved with the Health Dept. Menus may change for the remainder of the week.

Career Tech Center Update
The Welch Gas Company has completed its inspection, and the building has been deemed safe and clear from a natural gas leak. The smell originated from an automotive project in that lab.

Students and staff have returned to the building, and the school day has resumed as normal. The staff are moving students to areas where you cannot smell the odor until it clears.
